Android Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of an Android application, including analysis, design, development, deployment, and post-production support
• Convert UI/UX designs and wireframes into clean, high-quality, and maintainable code
• Develop scalable, reusable, and high-performing applications using Java
• Ensure optimal application performance, reliability, and responsiveness
• Troubleshoot issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective fixes
• Uphold code quality standards, structure, and automation practices
• Manage deployments and support production releases

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 3–5 years of experience in Android (Java) development
• Strong expertise in Android SDK, including handling multiple OS versions and screen sizes
• Experience with offline storage, multi-threading, and performance optimization
• Ability to design intuitive, user-friendly mobile interfaces (touch-based interactions)
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs with backend services
• Solid understanding of Android UI/UX principles, patterns, and best practices
• Familiarity with the Android open-source ecosystem and commonly used libraries
• Exposure to device features such as biometrics (e.g., fingerprint, facial recognition) is a plus
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Knowledge of push notifications and cloud messaging services
• Strong focus on performance tuning and optimization
• Understanding of Android design guidelines and standards
• Proficiency with version control tools such as Git or SVN
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and process discipline
