Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin
- Build modern,responsive user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and Android UI frameworks
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and coding standards
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and services
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance and reliability
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, including automated builds and testing
- Perform unit testing, UI testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Continuously improve application quality through monitoring, feedback, and iterative enhancements
- Document technical designs, processes, and implementation details
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Android development using Kotlin preferred
- Strong understanding of Kotlin fundamentals (e.g., coroutines, flows, null safety)
- Experience with Android Jetpack components (e.g., ViewModel, LiveData/Flow, Navigation)
- Familiarity with Jetpack Compose or modern Android UI development practices
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling JSON data
- Proficient in Git version control
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
- Exposure to DevOps practices is an added advantage
- Hands-on with a passion for programming and problem-solving
- Fast learner with the ability to pick up new technologies and tools
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Customer-focused with a positive, can-do attitude
- Team player with a willingness to learn and grow
