Anaplan Product Analyst

The Product Analyst (PA) Anaplan is responsible for owning the functional and product-facing aspects of Anaplan solutions across planning, forecasting, and analytics use cases. This role acts as the bridge between business users and technical Anaplan developers, ensuring that business requirements are clearly defined, prioritised, and translated into highquality, scalable Anaplan designs that deliver measurable business value.

Responsibilities

Act as the functional owner for assigned Anaplan products or models, with accountability for solution intent, scope, and value delivery.

Understand planning processes, pain points, and decisionmaking needs.

Translate business problems into clear functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for Anaplan development.

Challenge and refine requirements to avoid overengineering and ensure solutions are fitforpurpose and scalable.

Define calculation logic, planning workflows, and data inputs/outputs from a functional perspective.

Review and validate Anaplan model designs with developers to ensure alignment with business intent and best practices.

Ensure consistent application of model design standards, naming conventions, and usability principles.

Work closely with Anaplan Developers, Data Engineers, and Integration teams during build, test, and deployment phases.

Act as firstline functional support for BAU issues, including triage, root cause analysis, and prioritisation of enhancements or fixes.

Contribute to postincident reviews and continuous improvement of support and delivery processes.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

Serve as the primary functional contact for business users on Anaplanrelated topics.

Facilitate requirement discussions, and solution walkthroughs with stakeholders.

Manage expectations on scope, timelines, and tradeoffs.

Produce clear documentation including functional specifications, user guides, and process notes.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong business analysis and problemsolving skills, with the ability to decompose complex planning problems.

Solid understanding of planning and analytics concepts such as forecasting, budgeting, scenario analysis, and variance analysis.

Anaplan & Technical Awareness

Handson experience working with Anaplan models (as a Product Analyst, Solution Analyst, or Model Builder).

Good understanding of Anaplan concepts: lists, modules, line items, hierarchies, versions, and dashboards.

Experience working alongside integration teams (e.g. SAP, data lakes, APIs) is an advantage.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.

Some Anaplan experience required; Anaplan certification(s) are preferred but not mandatory.

Experience supporting Anaplan in a or production support environment.

Exposure to Agile or productcentric delivery models.

Experience in Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, or Integrated Business Planning (IBP / S&OP) domains.

Strong documentation and process design skills.
