The Anaplan Product Analyst (PA) is responsible for owning the functional and product-facing aspects of Anaplan solutions across planning, forecasting, and analytics use cases. This role acts as the bridge between business users and technical Anaplan developers, ensuring that business requirements are clearly defined, prioritised, and translated into high‑quality, scalable Anaplan designs that deliver measurable business value.
Responsibilities
Act as the functional owner for assigned Anaplan products.
- Understand planning processes, pain points, and decision‑making needs.
- Translate business problems into clear functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for Anaplan development.
- Define calculation logic, planning workflows, and data inputs/outputs from a functional perspective.
- Review and validate Anaplan model designs with developers to ensure alignment with business intent and best practices.
- Work closely with Anaplan Developers, Data Engineers, and Integration teams during build, test, and deployment phases.
- Act as first‑line functional support for BAU issues, including triage, root cause analysis, and prioritisation of enhancements or fixes.
- Contribute to post‑incident reviews and continuous improvement of support and delivery processes.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Serve as the primary functional contact for business users on Anaplan‑related topics.
- Facilitate requirement discussions, and solution walkthroughs with stakeholders.
- Manage expectations on scope, timelines, and trade‑offs.
- Produce clear documentation including functional specifications, user guides, and process notes.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong business analysis and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to decompose complex planning problems.
- Solid understanding of planning and analytics concepts such as forecasting, budgeting, scenario analysis, and variance analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
- Some Anaplan experience required Anaplan certification(s) are preferred but not mandatory.
- Exposure to Agile or product‑centric delivery models.
- Experience in Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, or Integrated Business Planning (IBP / S&OP) domains.
- Strong documentation and process design skills.
