THE ROLE
Provide analytical testing assistance for required testing to support the Johann Schumacher Laboratory (JSL) to meet the testing requirements from R&D, Quality, Engineering and Customers testing inquiry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Report to the Lab Manager and work with a team of scientists/engineers and technicians in a laboratory environment.
- Perform Cross-Section sample preparation, analysis with Microscopy, as well as thermal, rheological, and mechanical testing.
- Be responsible for efficient, timely and accurate laboratory testing service with accountability for objectives, schedules and work performed.
- Document testing results in test reports such that the results are accurate and meet customer requirements.
- Perform other related lab duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- ITE (Nitec/Higher Nitec) or Diploma in Material Science, Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
REQUIREMENT (1) KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES
- Preferably 1-3 years work experience in a laboratory or industrial environment.
- Fresh school leavers are welcome as training will be provided.
- Experience in thermal or rheological testing, cross-section preparation and analysis with Microscopy would be a strong advantage.
- A background in PCB, failure analysis, or polymer materials testing is preferred.

- Singapore citizenship or PR is required.
