Job Description

MSSG is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated professional to join our Internal Audit team as an Analyst / Senior Analyst (Contract). In this role, you will be part of the team responsible for executing internal audits, conducting risk assessments, and evaluating governance and control processes across our banking and securities operations. This position offers excellent exposure to internal audit practices within a leading financial institution, making it ideal for candidates looking to strengthen their expertise in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

  • Execute internal audit assignments in line with the annual audit plan and established timelines.
  • Conduct risk assessments of assigned areas and contribute to audit scoping.
  • Evaluate business processes and workflows to identify risks, control gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare and perform audit test procedures, ensuring working papers are properly documented.
  • Draft audit findings and recommendations, and discuss them with auditees to ensure practicality and relevance.
  • Assist in preparing clear and concise audit reports summarizing risks, controls, and outcomes.
  • Support ad-hoc reviews, investigations, and special audit projects as required.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Banking & Finance, Business, or related field.
  • At least 24 years of relevant audit, compliance, or risk management experience, preferably within financial institutions, banking, or capital markets / securities environments.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability totranslate observations into practical risk insights.
  • Meticulous, with strong documentation and organizational abilities.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders across different business functions and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates willingness to learn and develop knowledge in capital markets and investment banking operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); exposure to data analytics tools (e.g., ACL, SQL, Power BI) is an advantage, and an interest in leveraging data analytics in audit work is preferred.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CA, CIA, CISA, CAMS) are preferred but not mandatory.
