Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially minded Analyst to join our Singapore-based team.
This individual will take end-to-end ownership of Industry Models, driving their development, refinement, and commercialization. You will work closely with the Director of Research to shape our research agenda, lead high-impact analysis, and directly influence client-facing outputs across our research and consulting business.
Beyond model ownership, you will serve as a thought partner to clients and internal stakeholders, contributing to strategic insights across semiconductors, AI infrastructure, and adjacent sectors. You will also represent the firm at industry conferences across APAC, strengthening our market presence and network.
This role offers direct authorship of research publications, with visibility across global institutional clients and industry leaders.
The role is full-time and based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the development of Industry Models, including architecture design, assumptions framework, and continuous updates based on market developments
- Drive deep fundamental research across the semiconductor and AI ecosystem (e.g., foundries, hyperscalers, accelerators, datacenters, supply chain dynamics)
- Translate complex technical and financial data into clear, actionable insights for clients
- Lead financial modeling efforts, including advanced three-statement models, scenario analysis, and forward-looking projections
- Actively track and interpret earnings calls, product launches, regulatory developments, and competitive positioning
- Produce high-quality research reports, whitepapers, and client deliverables, with increasing ownership of narrative and thesis development
- Contribute to and author published articles/newsletters, establishing thought leadership and market voice
- Engage directly with clients through presentations, discussions, and consulting engagements
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and expert networks across Singapore and the broader APAC region
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to building internal research capabilities and frameworks
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment banking, private equity, or buy-side roles (technology, semiconductors, or AI coverage strongly preferred)
- Proven track record of independently leading research coverage or investment theses
- Strong domain expertise in the semiconductor value chain, AI infrastructure, or related deep-tech sectors
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, including three-statement models, forecasting, and scenario analysis
- Exceptional ability to synthesize technical, financial, and market data into coherent insights
- High proficiency in Excel working knowledge of Python or data analysis tools is a strong advantage
- Strong communication skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders or clients
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment
- High level of intellectual curiosity, commercial awareness, and attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (advanced degrees are a plus)
- Fluency in English is required additional Asian language capabilities are advantageous
