AML / Compliance Analyst (Contract)
We are seeking a detail-oriented AML / Compliance Analyst to support regulatory compliance operations, focusing on customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, and risk assessment activities. This role plays a vital part in safeguarding the organization against financial crime risks and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and periodic account reviews in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Assess and analyse transaction patterns to identify unusual or potentially suspicious behaviour
- Review and resolve alerts generated from screening and transaction monitoring systems in a timely and accurate manner
- Perform risk assessments on new and existing clients, including trigger event reviews
- Prepare clear and detailed investigation notes, documentation, and audit trails
- Support process enhancement initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time
- Contribute to the development and updating of policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective case resolution
- Handle additional compliance-related tasks and special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related discipline
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in AML, KYC, CDD, EDD, or Transaction Monitoring within financial institutions
- Familiarity with name screening systems and alert handling workflows
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases while meeting strict turnaround timelines
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and regulated environment
