Job Summary
You will respond promptly to non-emergency calls, assist paramedics in handling and moving patients safely, ensure patient comfort during transport, provide basic first aid, and maintain ambulance readiness through routine checks and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to non-emergency calls and follow assigned dispatch instructions accurately
- Assist paramedics and medical staff in safely handling and transferring patients using stretchers and wheelchairs
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout transport to healthcare facilities
- Provide basic first aid support to patients when required
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on the ambulance, including monitoring fuel levels, cleanliness, and equipment functionality
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold a valid Class 3 driver's license with a clean driving record
- Possess Defensive Driving Qualification
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Have 1-2 years of experience working in the healthcare industry
