Job Description

Our client is a global quantitative firm in digital asset markets, partnering with institutions and high-growth teams to navigate and scale within crypto markets. With long-standing experience across market making, structured trading, and strategic investment, they operate at the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets. This platform combines deep liquidity access, market intelligence, and hands-on expertise to support trading and growth across market cycles.

The Role:

This position sits within a global trading desk and focuses on active risk oversight and trade execution during Asia-Pacific market hours. As an Alpha Researcher / Execution Trader, you will be responsible for managing live risk, executing strategies in real time, and ensuring operational discipline across trading workflows.

Beyond day-to-day execution, you will work closely with researchers and traders to understand existing strategies and contribute to the development of new discretionary and semi-automated trading approaches. This role suits a trader who is comfortable operating in fast-moving markets and enjoys combining market insight with quantitative thinking.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee portfolio risk during APAC hours, tracking positions, exposures, and market dynamics, and responding appropriately to changing conditions.
  • Execute trades in line with predefined strategy guidelines, maintaining high standards around pricing, timing, and coordination with global teams.
  • Ensure operational accuracy across execution processes, including trade verification, reconciliations, and portfolio adjustments.
  • Monitor macro events, market structure changes, and order flow to inform real-time decision-making.
  • Develop a strong understanding of existing trading models and research initiatives.
  • Contribute to the research, testing, and rollout of new discretionary and semi-systematic trading strategies.

What We're Looking For:

  • A university degree in a quantitative, technical, or related discipline.
  • Strong numerical reasoning skills and the ability to assess risk, drawdowns, and performance drivers.
  • At least 2 years of experience using programming tools for data analysis, research, or strategy testing.
  • 4+ years of hands-on trading experience in any asset class, with solid knowledge of derivatives, execution mechanics, and risk controls.
  • The ability to make sound decisions under pressure in continuous, global markets.
  • Experience trading digital assets is a plus, but not a requirement.
