AIX System Administrator

Responsibilities

. Collaborate with application teams for EOS upgrade planning

. Define configuration standards for UNIX and system software

. Provide technical assistance to dev/ops teams

. Script automation using Perl, KSH, Python

. Work with GIT/GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Nagios

. Troubleshoot and drive system recovery with urgency

. Lead AIX OS upgrades and ensure supportability

. Review and supervise major change requests

. Conduct performance tuning & analysis

. Automate operations for efficiency

. Drive OS/software upgrade cycles

. Manage backup and recovery

. AIX OS & system services (Volume Manager, NTP, DNS, Clustering, SSH, TSM, ITM)

. UNIX troubleshooting & tuning

. UNIX server clustering

. Information security fundamentals

. Data communication & networking

. Middleware/app execution in UNIX (advantage)
