We are seeking a skilled and proactive AI Technology Specialist to lead research and development initiatives focused on applying artificial intelligence to lighting and lighting spatial environments. This role involves driving innovation, managing cross-functional projects, and collaborating with both local and Japan-based teams.
Responsibilities:
. Conduct research, development, and proof-of-concept (PoC) activities for AI applications in lighting and lighting spatial environments.
. Stay current with the latest AI technologies related to lighting and evaluate their feasibility for integration into projects.
. Lead projects by managing resources, schedules, and deliverables to ensure timely and successful execution.
. Develop and implement strategic action plans aligned with project goals.
. Prepare reports and deliver presentations to both local and Japan-based management teams.
. Coordinate and resolve technical and quality-related issues throughout the project lifecycle.
. Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, sharing insights and contributing to overall project success.
Requirements:
. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in Science, Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
. Solid knowledge and practical experience in machine learning and data analysis technologies.
. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or R, with hands-on experience in developing AI algorithms.
. Expertise in technologies related to lighting applications, with a strong understanding of their role in enhancing spatial value.
. Business-level Japanese proficiency is required (JLPT N1 or equivalent), as the role involves regular communication with the Japan headquarters and translation of documents between Japanese and English.
. Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
. Possesses a strong corporate network and professional relationships.
. Highly organized, with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
. Strong work ethic and professional integrity.
. Proven ability to collaborate effectively as a team player.
. Familiarity with Japanese corporate operations and business practices.
. Prior experience in engaging with Japanese clients and stakeholders.
. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization, including employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
. A strong belief in the importance of lighting as a key element in enhancing the value of space.
