AI Governance / Risk Specialist (1 year contract, convertible to perm)

We're supporting an organisation seeking a senior AI professional to help strengthen AI risk management, responsible AI practices, and model governance across an expanding AI capability.

This role will work closely with technical and delivery teams to ensure AI solutions are developed, deployed, and reviewed in a controlled, ethical, and transparent way. Flexible hybrid working, offering the best of remote productivity and on-site collaboration.

This is 12-month direct contract, with conversion to a permanent role available following successful delivery.

Key Focus Areas:

• Embed responsible AI and model governance principles across AI initiatives
• Identify, assess, and manage AI and model-related risks
• Support teams across the AI lifecycle, from design through deployment
• Contribute to AI risk frameworks, controls, and oversight activities
• Act as a trusted advisor on ethical and responsible AI practices

Experience Required:

• Hands-on experience delivering AI / ML or Generative AI solutions
• Strong understanding of AI risk, model governance, and ethical considerations
• Ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders
