AI Governance Officer - AI Lab (1 Year Contract)

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Manager to take on the role of AI Governance Officer for the AI Lab. The successful candidate will work closely with the AI Lab project and delivery teams to ensure that ethical considerations are integrated from the start of every AI project. This role requires a deep understanding of AI governance requirements and the ability to support project teams throughout the entire AI Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the AI Lab project and delivery teams to design and implement ethical AI practices from the inception of projects.
• Ensure compliance with AI governance requirements and standards.
• Provide ongoing support to project teams throughout the AI SDLC, ensuring adherence to governance protocols.
• Act as the main point of contact for the AI Governance Working Group, providing regular updates on the progress of AI systems.
• Lead the annual review of AI governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for adoption by the AI Lab team, to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
• Conduct retrospective reviews of AI systems to identify governance gaps, ethical risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Support teams in evaluating and reporting on the financial value of AI systems.
• Foster a culture of ethical AI practices within the AI Lab.

Qualifications:

• Proven end-to-end AI delivery experience in Generative AI and Machine Learning.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies and their implications.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in managing and delivering on AI projects.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and standards.
• Experience in AI governance, ethics, or a related field preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
