AI Engineering Lead - Private Equity (Portfolio Support)

We are currently partnering with a leading Asian Private Equity firm to recruit a highly skilled and execution-focused AI Engineering Lead to drive AI solution delivery and innovation across its portfolio companies.

Role
This is a unique, high-impact role within the firm&aposs Digital & Technology Value Creation team, working closely with operating partners, investment teams, and C-level stakeholders within portfolio companies. As the AI Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for architecting, building, and scaling AI/ML solutions across a range of business contexts-from customer personalization and intelligent automation to operational optimization and predictive analytics.

You will assess AI readiness across portfolio companies, identify high-value use cases, and lead the end-to-end delivery of AI systems-partnering with in-house tech teams, external vendors, and data science resources as needed. The role combines technical depth with the ability to drive adoption and measurable impact in complex, fast-paced business environments.

Requirement
Degree-qualified in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, you bring at least 10 years of experience in software engineering or data architecture, with a minimum of 5 years leading the design and deployment of AI/ML solutions in production environments.

You are proficient in Python and experienced with key ML and GenAI libraries, including frameworks such as Hugging Face, LangChain, and OpenAI SDKs. Hands-on knowledge of MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow) and cloud-native AI/ML architectures on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is essential.

You have a strong track record of delivering AI solutions end-to-end-from experimentation to scalable deployment-and are comfortable navigating both technical complexity and business objectives. Exposure to high-growth startup environments is highly advantageous.
