AI Engineer (Public Sector)

The Opportunity

• Adecco is partnering with public sector to look for an AI Engineer.
• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered full-stack applications leveraging LLMs, RAG, AI agents, APIs, and automation workflows, while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions for governance, risk, and audit use cases.
  
• The role will start out as a contract role.
  

The Talent

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in AI engineering, software engineering, full-stack development, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI-enabled applications, automation workflows, internal tools, or digital products.
• Experience with React, Next.js, Node.js, Python, FastAPI, Django, or similar technologies.
• Proficiency with APIs, databases, Git, debugging, testing, and software development best practices.

Job Description


AI Application Development

• Design, develop, and enhance AI-powered tools and applications for governance, risk, and audit use cases.
• Build solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG, AI agents, prompt workflows, document analysis, automation, and dashboarding.
• Integrate AI models and APIs into internal tools and business workflows.
  
  

Full-Stack Engineering

• Develop and maintain frontend and backend applications using modern technologies.
• Work with APIs, databases, cloud services, and deployment pipelines.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, production readiness, and ongoing improvements.
  
  

Data, Integration & AI Engineering

• Implement solutions involving LLM APIs, embeddings, vector databases, document processing, structured/unstructured data, and workflow automation.
• Evaluate AI outputs and improve model performance, reliability, and user experience.
  
  

Project Delivery & Collaboration

• Gather requirements, document solutions, track tasks, and provide stakeholder updates.
• Collaborate with technical teams and domain experts to deliver projects effectively.
