Salt is looking to hire an Innovation AI Engineer for a global technology company in Singapore for 12 months & renewable contract role. The team builds tools and systems that transform how teams search for
information, navigate data, and move through their pipelines. As Applied Innovation Engineer, you will contribute to both hands-on project work and broader technical initiatives across the creative ecosystem. This is an innovative group focused on enhancing design systems through technical innovation.
Description:
- Innovation & Product Development — You will explore and apply cutting-edge technology to solve complex problems across content design workflows
- Full-Stack Web Development — You will develop backend-heavy Python services with clean, functional frontends in React. You will build robust APIs, data pipelines, and real-time systems
- Infrastructure & Deployment — You will manage the full deployment lifecycle for assigned projects — creating namespaces, managing hosting, configuring authorisation, handling disclosures, and ensuring compliance with internal policies
- Design Production Innovation — You will contribute to innovative design production automation pipelines. The team works across a wide creative tech stack — macOS applications, Adobe tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects automation), macOS services, and more. Your Python expertise will also extend to desktop applications, particularly for image processing and manipulation
- Cross-Functional Collaboration — You will collaborate with design content, product, and marketing teams across different time zones.
Qualification:
- Strong Python experience, including backend services, data processing, and AI application development.
- Full-stack web development experience with React frontends and Python backend frameworks.
- Experience building and shipping AI-powered applications in production environments.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP protocols.
- Experience with deployment infrastructure, including containerisation, namespaces, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of authorisation systems, security practices, and compliance in enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated ability to explore new technologies and turn ideas into shipped products.
- Expertise with Git for version control and collaborative development
