AI Deployment Strategist

Role Overview

This role focuses on turning complex technical opportunities into practical, reliable solutions that work in real operating environments. You will partner with organisations to understand their needs, shape implementation approaches and guide solutions from initial assessment through testing, launch and ongoing improvement.

Working across business stakeholders and technical specialists, you will connect operational objectives with technical execution. You will help teams establish clear priorities, define achievable outcomes and resolve the practical challenges that arise when introducing new technology into established processes and systems.

This is a hands-on, delivery-oriented position suited to someone who combines structured problem-solving with technical fluency, sound judgement and a strong sense of accountability.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Understand the problem and shape the approach

• Work directly with stakeholders to understand existing processes, technical environments, operational challenges and desired outcomes.
• Identify opportunities where new technology can address meaningful problems or improve existing ways of working.
• Clarify requirements, constraints, dependencies and acceptance criteria before implementation begins.
• Convert broad objectives and evolving requirements into well-defined scopes of work and practical delivery plans.

Guide technical implementation

• Establish implementation priorities, delivery milestones, measures of success and integration requirements.
• Translate business needs into actionable guidance for engineering and other technical contributors.
• Coordinate implementation activities across technical teams and stakeholder groups, maintaining alignment on priorities, decisions and expected outcomes.
• Assess dependencies, surface delivery risks early, resolve obstacles and adapt plans as requirements or circumstances change.
• Help ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible and appropriate for the environments in which they will operate.

Support launch and continued performance

• Guide solutions through validation, readiness assessment, deployment and transition into live use.
• Work with stakeholders to address issues that emerge during implementation and ensure the resulting solution meets its intended objectives.
• Evaluate how deployed capabilities perform in practice, using feedback and observed usage to identify areas for refinement.
• Coordinate follow-up improvements and help establish a clear path from initial implementation to sustained operational value.
• Recognise further opportunities to apply successful approaches to related business needs.

Build effective working relationships

• Develop a detailed understanding of stakeholder priorities by working closely with them, including through in-person collaboration when required.
• Communicate technical considerations, trade-offs and delivery decisions clearly to audiences with different levels of technical expertise.
• Maintain shared understanding across business and technical participants, particularly when requirements are uncertain or competing priorities arise.
• Take responsibility for progress from initial problem definition through to implementation and follow-through.

What You Will Bring

Essential experience and capabilities

• Experience in a technical delivery, implementation, solutions, consulting or similarly execution-focused role.
• The ability to break down ambiguous problems, establish priorities and develop clear, achievable plans.
• Working knowledge of software systems and technical integration concepts, including APIs, data movement and interactions between connected services.
• The ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams while maintaining a clear focus on business needs and delivery outcomes.
• Strong communication skills, with the confidence to manage expectations, align stakeholders and explain complex topics clearly.
• A high degree of ownership, practical judgement and initiative, with a willingness to address problems directly rather than wait for direction.
• A genuine interest in applying emerging AI capabilities to practical use cases and helping those solutions succeed beyond initial experimentation.

Additional strengths

The following would be beneficial but are not essential:

• Experience in technical advisory work, solution design, implementation consulting or roles closely embedded with customers during delivery.
• Practical software development or engineering experience.
• Involvement in taking software or technology solutions into production and supporting them after launch.
• Experience working in an environment where priorities evolve quickly and individuals are expected to operate with considerable autonomy.

Working Style

You will work at the intersection of technical problem-solving, stakeholder collaboration and delivery execution. The work will require you to move comfortably between understanding operational needs, discussing technical approaches and coordinating the activities required to put solutions into practice.

Not every challenge will arrive with a clearly defined scope or an established process. You should be comfortable making progress with incomplete information, asking the right questions, adapting your approach and remaining accountable for outcomes.

The role involves direct engagement with external stakeholders and may require time spent at their workplaces to understand operational realities and support implementation.
