Job Description
ALG is currently hiring an Aerospace Quality Engineer for our client based in Singapore. This is a contract opportunity with a global aerospace company, supporting quality and inspection activities within the Aerospace manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inspection plans for aerospace components and assemblies based on engineering drawings, customer requirements, and applicable standards
- Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to establish suitable inspection methods, measurement techniques, and acceptance criteria
- Perform and support in-process and final inspections using CMM, gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment
- Prepare and maintain inspection records, reports, and documentation, including First Article Inspection (FAI) and traceability records
- Support CMM and/or gear inspection programming for in-process and final inspection
- Ensure inspection and quality activities comply with applicable aerospace standards and customer requirements
- Support internal and external audits relating to quality and inspection processes
- Investigate quality issues and inspection failures using root cause analysis and problem-solving tools such as 8D, FMEA, and Fishbone
- Support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to improve inspection efficiency, accuracy, and product quality
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T
- Hands-on experience with inspection and measurement equipment CMM experience is highly relevant
- Experience in quality inspection, inspection planning, FAI, or manufacturing quality
- Familiarity with quality management systems such as AS9100, AS9102, or AS13100 is an advantage
- Experience with CMM programming, NDT, or basic CAD/drawing software will be an advantage
- Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Willing to work rotating shifts
