AEROSPACE NDT LEVEL 2 INSPECTOR
Reporting to the Responsible NDT Level 3 and the Operations Manager, the successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
. Perform duties both on base and away from base as assigned by the Operations Manager, ensuring that all work is completed promptly and meets the delivery requirements of the customer
. Ensuring work is carried out to the highest standard and maintaining the safety of the aircraft at all times
. Ensuring that all work carried out is documented on the appropriate paperwork and signed for progressive basis
. Ensuring that the area they work in is kept clean and orderly condition
. Adhere to all company, regulatory, and Health and Safety requirements procedures
. Adhere to the relevant airport regulations and procedures.
. Willing to undergo further training & Qualification on additional NDT methods as a level 2, aiming for career growth to become NDT Level 3.
Essential Criteria:
. Currently qualified to EN4179 Level 2 in at least two of the following NDT methods. (Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle inspection, Eddy-current Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Radiography)
. Recent documented experience of aerospace NDT inspection
. Be willing to acquire certifying staff authorisations.
. Willingness to travel for training and work purposes
. Strong communication skills, both oral and written
. Ability to read and interpret specifications and technical instructions from the relevant manuals
. Ability to work within a team and independently, be self-motivated, and flexible in their approach work
. Willingness to up-skill and recertify on an ongoing basis
. A good sense of commercial awareness.
. Currently qualified to EN4179 Aerospace Level 2 under SGNDTB in two or more of the following NDT methods. (Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle inspection, Eddy-current Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Radiography)
. Possess a working knowledge of aircraft structures and product technology
. Previous experience in commercial aircraft maintenance and current CAAS certifying staff qualification will be an added advantage.
