Aero Engine Component Maintenance Technician (Vibro-Polishing Machinist)

Job Responsibilities:

. Ability to carry out Superfinishing (also known as Vibropolishing or Vibrobarrelling) of aero engine blade and vane airfoils using non-metallic media to produce a fine surface finish in accordance with the requirements & instructions of Rolls-Royce Engine Manuals

. Ability to make-up and control of Superfinishing Media

. Setting up and operating the Vibro-Polishing Machine

. Monitoring the machining cycle to ensure quality

. Familiar in using different precision measuring equipment for chordal width, trailing edge thickness measurement

. Familiar in checking the surface finish using suitable surface finish measuring machine

. Performing quality inspections of finished products

. Conducting routine machine maintenance

. Troubleshooting any issues that arise

. Understand and strict adherence to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)

. Health & Safety practices (E.g. Personnel Protection Equipment, Fixture & Tooling storage)

Requirements:

. Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in operation of Vibro-Polishing machine

. Diploma or above in Mechanical Engineering, Aviation Engineering or related disciplines

. Able to interpret engineering drawings

. Good command of written English and engineering analytical skill

. Willing to take day and night roster shifts
