Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Asset Lifecycle Management: Create, maintain, and update the fixed asset register, including asset capitalization, transfers, and retirements.
  • Physical Verification: Lead or assist in annual/periodic physical asset tagging and inventory counts.
  • Accounting Entries: Calculate monthly depreciation and post related journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure asset management complies with accounting standards (IFRS) and internal policies, assisting with audits.
  • Documentation: Maintain organized filing systems for invoices, disposal forms, and asset documentation.
  • Coordination: Act as a liaison between departments (e.g., Finance, IT, Procurement) regarding asset movements and status.

Typical Requirements

  • Education: Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 years of relevant accounting or fixed asset experience.
  • Technical Skills: Preferably knowledge in any accounting or ERP systems and MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Analytical Skills: Attention to detail and ability to analyze asset data.
