Join our team at the Singapore Medical Association to provide essential administrative and operational support for professional development courses and events, membership administration and committee support. You will support the Head of Department in ensuring the smooth delivery of our programmes and departmental functions.
Primary Job Responsibilities
1. Email Correspondence
- Respond promptly to and manage emails related to departmental activities, including courses, events, and membership-related queries.
2. CME Application Support
- Provide administrative support in the preparation and submission of CME applications for courses and events.
3. Complaints Committee Support
- Assist the HOD with the administrative processes related to the Complaints Committee.
- Monitor, track, and maintain accurate records of complaints received.
- Ensure timely updates to the complaints database.
Secondary Job Responsibilities
4. Course & Event Support
- Assist in the coordination and execution of courses and events organised by the Association.
- Be available to work on weekends as required for course and event duties.
5. Membership Database Administration
- Support the updating, validation, and maintenance of accurate membership records.
6. Other Duties
- Undertake any other administrative duties or special assignments as directed by the Head of Department and/or Chief Administrator.
Requirements
- Diploma in Business Administration or related field.
- At least 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare, education, events or professional association setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Interested in organizing/ running events.
- Willingness to work on weekends when required.
- Note that this role is only a 1-year contract.
