[What you will be working on]
- Design, develop, and deliver curriculum for both Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) in areas such as Precision Machining, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Metrology, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Lead and contribute to the development of applied R&D and industry collaboration projects, especially in CNC machining and Industry 4.0 domains.
- Guide and mentor learners through academic, project, and career development, including supervision of student projects.
- Undertake academic-related responsibilities such as lesson planning, assessment, project supervision, and student engagement
- Support School's administrative and operational tasks as and when required
- Keep abreast of and respond to advancements in Precision Engineering landscape through active engagement with industry and professional bodies/communities.
- Relevant degree qualifications in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant industry experience in the Manufacturing or Precision Engineering sector.
- Candidate should possess relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
- CNC Machining (Turning and Milling)
- Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM)
- IoT applications in Manufacturing environment
- Metrology and measurement systems, including use of advanced equipment (e.g., CMM, Vision Systems, 3D Scanners)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, MSSQL)
- Experience in conducting training or delivering technical courses in Precision Engineering topics
- Experience in sustainability applications in manufacturing
- Familiarity with AI-based solutions and their implementation within engineering or manufacturing contexts.
