Job Description

The role sits within PwC's Actuarial Services practice, supporting life insurance clients across risk management, regulatory compliance, and actuarial advisory engagements. The position involves delivering actuarial insights through quantitative analysis and modelling to support informed decision-making. The role provides exposure to a broad range of actuarial advisory and audit support assignments, contributing to regulatory, capital, and financial risk initiatives across the insurance value chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver life insurance actuarial advisory services covering reserving, valuation, capital, and risk management topics
  • Support seasonal actuarial audit engagements, including review of assumptions, methodologies, and reporting outputs
  • Provide actuarial analysis and advice on solvency, economic capital, reinsurance, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Assist in assessing the impact of new regulations and accounting standards on insurers financial positions and balance sheets
  • Contribute to actuarial modelling, projections, and reserve adequacy assessments for life insurance portfolios
  • Prepare actuarial reports, technical documentation, proposals, and presentation materials for client deliverables
  • Support advisory engagements related to mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and business performance analysis
  • Work as part of a regional actuarial team to deliver projects across Singapore and the wider Asia market
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while adapting to changing project priorities and requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of actuarial experience within life insurance, consulting, or financial services organisations
  • Strong technical experience across core life insurance actuarial areas such as reserving, valuation, ERM, capital modelling, and reinsurance
  • Experience with regulatory and reporting frameworks including ORSA, FCR, ICAAP, IFRS 17, and RBC
  • Qualified actuary or strong progress toward an internationally recognised actuarial qualification
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office tools for actuarial analysis and reporting
  • Exposure to actuarial modelling software is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and deliver high-quality outputs across multiple projects
