Job Description

Actuarial Analyst / Actuarial Support (2-Year Contract)

Location: Singapore (Onsite)

Contract: 2-Year Fixed Term

Reporting Line: Singapore Actuarial Team

We are supporting a reputable insurance organisation in hiring an Actuarial Analyst / Actuarial Support on a 2-year contract, based onsite in Singapore. This role will work closely with the Singapore actuarial team, supporting regulatory, reinsurance, and internal performance reporting.

This position is well-suited for a detail-oriented individual with strong Excel skills, looking to gain hands-on exposure within an actuarial and insurance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory & Policy Statistics Reporting
  • Support the preparation of policy statistics reporting for regulators, including MAS and LIA
  • Ensure submissions are accurate, complete, and delivered within required timelines
  • Reinsurance Reporting
  • Prepare reinsurance statements of account (SOA)
  • Handle follow-ups and respond to queries related to reinsurance accounts
  • Support reconciliations and data checks related to reinsurance reporting
  • Performance & Management Reporting
  • Assist with performance tracking and reporting for internal stakeholders
  • Support analysis of trends, movements, and variances in key metrics
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Singapore actuarial team and relevant internal functions
  • Provide timely support for data requests and reporting requirements
  • Ad-hoc Initiatives
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects, reporting enhancements, and process improvement initiatives as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline
  • (e.g. Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Finance)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, data reconciliation)
  • Highly meticulous and detail-oriented, with strong attention to accuracy
  • Able to work effectively in a structured, onsite team environment
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Prior exposure to insurance, actuarial, finance, or reporting roles will be an advantage but is not mandatory
