Join a leading building services provider as an Accounting & Payroll Officer to maintain accurate financial records, process payroll, ensure compliance, and support smooth HR and accounting operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries to ensure up-to-date accounting data
- Manage client billing by preparing timely and accurate invoices and conducting follow-ups on late payments
- Prepare GST reports and file GST returns to comply with tax regulations
- Liaise with external accounting firms and government agencies to facilitate audits and regulatory compliance
- Process payroll by calculating salaries, taxes, and statutory contributions accurately and remitting payments on time
- Support Human Resource & Admin tasks as assigned to contribute to overall operational efficiency
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting and payroll roles, preferably within the service industry
- Proficiency in accounting and payroll software, e.g. Xero
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, payroll processing, and statutory requirements to ensure compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to maintain accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster effective communication and teamwork
- Communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking counterparts to ensure clear information exchange and collaboration
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team to meet accounting and payroll objectives
