Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to join our growing team. This role will be crucial in maintaining our financial health by managing daily transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can handle multiple tasks, work collaboratively, and provide insightful financial analysis to support our business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping & Reporting:
    Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
    Process and record financial transactions, such as invoices, payments, and expenses.
    Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (e.g., balance sheets, income statements).
  • Financial Analysis & Budgeting:
    Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
    Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
    Provide insights and recommendations to management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Compliance & Audit:
    Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
    Oversee tax payments and filings.
    Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Collaborate with other departments to support their financial needs and ensure accurate reporting.
    Communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Related in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA, LCCI, Diploma, Degree)
  • Experience: 2-3 years of professional experience in a similar accounts or finance role.
  • Technical Skills:
    Basic Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
    Hands-on experience with accounting software like XERO, QuickBooks, InfoTech etc.
    Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Soft Skills:
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    High attention to detail and accuracy.
    Strong communication and organizational skills.
