Job Role
The Accounts Officer is responsible for supporting the finance department in managing the company's financial records, ensuring compliance with Singapore accounting standards, and administering day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process general expenses and other HQ costs.
- Take charge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for the HQ.
- Prepare documents for bank remittances to local and overseas recipients.
- Process petty cash, GIRO or bank payments.
- Prepare purchase requisitions for rentals, petrol, and utilities.
- Assist with GST submission, CPF, and other regulatory/statutory filings
- Liaise with Group companies regarding related-party transactions.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all accounting records in compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Assist in preparing accounts schedules for audit/review by auditors.
- Account for PPE and ROU assets (leases).
- Monthly/Quarterly closing of accounts, bank reconciliation and management reporting.
- Other ad hoc accounting duties.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
- At least 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the construction or building industry.
- Experience with SunSystems would be advantageous. Training will be provided.
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)
- Familiar with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), GST regulations, and local statutory requirements.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Meticulous, analytical, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
