Job Description

Job Role

The Accounts Officer is responsible for supporting the finance department in managing the company's financial records, ensuring compliance with Singapore accounting standards, and administering day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process general expenses and other HQ costs.
  • Take charge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for the HQ.
  • Prepare documents for bank remittances to local and overseas recipients.
  • Process petty cash, GIRO or bank payments.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions for rentals, petrol, and utilities.
  • Assist with GST submission, CPF, and other regulatory/statutory filings
  • Liaise with Group companies regarding related-party transactions.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of all accounting records in compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
  • Assist in preparing accounts schedules for audit/review by auditors.
  • Account for PPE and ROU assets (leases).
  • Monthly/Quarterly closing of accounts, bank reconciliation and management reporting.
  • Other ad hoc accounting duties.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the construction or building industry.
  • Experience with SunSystems would be advantageous. Training will be provided.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Familiar with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), GST regulations, and local statutory requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Meticulous, analytical, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
