Job Description

Our client, a globally recognised player within the maritime and logistics space, is looking to bring on an Accounts Executive (Agency Accounting) to strengthen their regional finance operations. This is an excellent opportunity for accounting professionals to build regional exposure within a structured and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking ownership of agency accounting operations, covering Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.
  • Driving daily and month-end cash management activities, including reconciliations and reporting accuracy.
  • Overseeing account balances across agents, customers, and vendors, ensuring timely follow-ups on outstanding items across regional offices.
  • Preparing and analysing periodic reports to support financial tracking and operational visibility.
  • Performing control checks and self-assessments to uphold accuracy and compliance in transaction processing.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for regional, country, and offshore teams, resolving queries and ensuring alignment.
  • Contributing to ongoing system enhancements and process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency.
  • Supporting broader team initiatives and participate in ad-hoc projects where required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy or a recognised professional accounting qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience across AR, AP, and/or General Ledger (GL) functions.
  • Exposure to shipping, maritime, or related industries would be advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, alongside strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) will be an added advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders across different regions.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
