Job purpose:
The incumbent will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely payment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a strong background in accounts receivable management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely payment and resolving any payment discrepancies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing excellent customer service
- Negotiate payment terms and settlements with customers.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to improve cash flow and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO)
- Issue invoice for recharge to both intercompany and third party
- Send tax invoices to customers, including upload to customers portal
- Record payments from customers and assign to respective tax invoices
- Prepare and send statement of account to customers on a monthly basis
- Prepare and send aging analysis on a weekly basis, including payment status
- Perform customer reconciliation
- Take on credit controller role in credit risk mitigation
- Ensure AR month-end closing is completed by first working day
- Verify and process staff claims
- Assist in audit and tax queries and requests
- Any ad hoc duties assigned.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent, or above
- Minimum 3 years experience in accounts receivable management or a related field
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
