JOB OVERVIEW
The Accounts Executive (APAC) will be responsible for supporting the company's financial operations by assisting in maintaining accurate bookkeeping records, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards, particularly for the APAC region. This position will play a crucial part in the timely and accurate completion of financial records and reports, providing essential support to the financial team.
JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Record Maintenance
Assist in managing and maintaining accurate financial records for the APAC region, including data entry, processing invoices, and reconciling accounts.
Ensure all financial records are updated promptly and accurately in line with company standards and regional regulations.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
Support the handling of accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and following up on outstanding invoices specific to the APAC region.
Ensure that all transactions are processed in compliance with company policies and on schedule.
Financial Reporting
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, focusing on APAC regional data as required.
Collaborate with the Finance Supervisor to provide necessary data and documentation for internal and external financial reporting.
Bank and Ledger Reconciliations
Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and ledgers to ensure accuracy and adherence to regional accounting standards.
Investigate discrepancies and make necessary adjustments to maintain the integrity of financial records.
Expense Monitoring and Compliance
Monitor and record company expenses in the APAC region, ensuring that all expenditures comply with internal policies and regional regulations.
Provide assistance in ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and company policies within the APAC region.
Audit Support
Assist in providing documentation and support for internal and external audits, particularly those relating to the APAC region.
Support the preparation and organization of financial records for audit purposes, ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
Ad-hoc Financial Tasks
Assist the Finance Manager with various ad-hoc financial tasks and projects, with a focus on supporting the APAC region's operations.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support when necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENT(S)
Minimum a Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping is preferred, but not mandatory.
Basic understanding of GST, VAT, and other tax-related matters is advantageous.
Experience with Xero accounting software is preferred but not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to identify issues and implement solutions efficiently.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
