Job Summary

Manage and maintain comprehensive financial records and reporting processes to support AWG Insurance Brokers operational and strategic objectives. Deliver accurate financial statements, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate across departments to optimize financial resource allocation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate accounting records for all financial transactions to ensure data integrity and compliance
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, to provide clear financial insights
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections, supporting cash flow management
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts monthly to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Perform monthly and year-end closing activities to finalize financial records and support audit readiness
  • Assist in preparing financial forecasts and budgets to guide strategic planning and resource allocation
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and responding to audit inquiries
  • Monitor compliance with financial regulations and internal policies to mitigate risk and uphold governance standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and proper allocation of financial resources

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms to enhance financial processing efficiency
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications to analyze data and generate reports effectively
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills applied to financial data management and process improvement
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic work environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping and reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration and information sharing
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental and organizational goals
