JOB PURPOSE:
To perform a variety of accounting activities such as updating and maintaining accounting records and preparing various accounting statements and financial reports enters, retrieves and maintains information on computerised accounting system prepares invoices, reconciles record to obtain primary financial data maintain restricted and general funds budgets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for a full set of accounts including timely preparation of payments and receipts.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of management reports and submission of IPC Donation Receipts.
Responsible for completion and timely submission of quarterly and yearly statistics survey.
Responsible for completion and timely submission of yearly donation record to Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore.
Perform bank and other accounting related reconciliations.
Responsible for fixed assets reconciliation and Interco balances.
Liaise with auditor in preparation of audit schedules, AR/AP ageing list, accruals, prepayment, fixed asset and any others relating to accounting matters.
Assist in yearly budget and quarterly analysis budget variances.
Advise staff on budget process and attend to staff claims and inter-school debit notes
Take necessary action to resolve customer problems and discrepancies
Ensure public donation / grants are correctly booked into account with its designated purpose.
Provide accurate and timely management reports to Head of Finance / Senior Finance Manager for their necessary action / decision making.
Work effectively with Head of Finance / Senior Finance Manager and colleagues by practicing punctuality, respect for deadlines and honest communication.
Ensure expenditures are tapped from correct budget and spent within budget.
Ensure timely submission of financial reports.
Determines content and assembles data in order to prepare monthly reports for review.
Ad hoc assignments as required by Senior Finance Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma/Degree in Accountancy or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
Able to handle full set of accounts.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of ACCPAC preferred.
Able to work effectively with minimum supervision
Able to perform accounting functions in accordance with accounting policy and principles in compliance with guidelines established by management.

Expert written and oral communication skills.
