Job Summary
As an Accounts Assistant, you will support our accounting team to manage our clients financial accounts. While your primary focus will be on accounting and payment preparation functions, you will also gain valuable exposure to corporate secretarial duties and ACRA compliance.
Responsibilities
Accounting Support: Assist in managing and maintaining accounts for various clients using cloud accounting platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Jaz Accounting.
Payment Preparation: Prepare client payments, invoices, and payment schedules for clients final approval via their respective banking applications.
Financial Tracking: Record and track financial transactions accurately, perform bank reconciliations, and assist in basic payroll data preparation.
Corporate Secretarial Support: Assist the team with corporate compliance tasks, including preparing statutory documents and processing routine filings with ACRA.
Administration: Manage physical and cloud storage filing systems to ensure the easy retrieval of client company records, and collect/handle company correspondence efficiently.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively and effectively within a small team to complete assigned tasks and ensure timely delivery of client requests.
Requirements and Preferred Competencies
Previous experience in accounting, payroll, or corporate secretarial roles is highly welcome (training will be provided for specific workflows).
Familiarity with accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or Jaz Accounting) is a strong advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and comfortable adapting to new digital tools.
