Position Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and hands-on Accounts Assistant to manage the full spectrum of accounting functions across one or more operating entities. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting monthly financial reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting with cashflow management.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, disciplined in month-end closing, and comfortable working in a multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Full Set Accounting
. Maintain full set of accounts including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets
. Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
. Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
. Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing
2. Financial Reporting
. Prepare monthly:
o Profit & Loss Statement
o Balance Sheet
o Cashflow reports
. Prepare outlet-level / cost centre reporting (if applicable)
. Assist in budget vs actual analysis
. Support management with financial data as required
3. Accounts Payable (AP)
. Process supplier invoices and staff claims
. Prepare payment schedules and ensure timely payments
. Reconcile supplier statements
4. Accounts Receivable (AR)
. Issue invoices and track collections
. Monitor AR aging and follow up on overdue balances
. Reconcile debtor accounts
5. GST & Compliance (Singapore Context)
. Prepare GST workings and assist in GST submission to IRAS
. Support CPF payroll submissions (if applicable)
. Assist with ACRA annual filings and XBRL preparation
. Liaise with external auditors and tax agents
. Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents
6. Cashflow & Controls
. Maintain weekly cashflow tracking
. Monitor operating expenses and highlight variances
. Ensure proper documentation and internal controls are maintained
Requirements
. Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
. Fresh entry / 1-4 years of relevant accounting experience
. Experience handling full set accounts independently (Training will be provided)
. Familiar with accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.)
. Knowledge of Singapore GST regulations
. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
. Comfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment
