Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. In this role, you will handle daily bookkeeping, invoicing, payments, and reconciliations, while gaining full exposure to accounting processes and month-end/year-end closing. Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily bookkeeping functions, including Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) across multiple entities.
- Handle petty cash and daily cash flow management.
- Handle settlement of daily transactions and bank reconciliations.
- Provide administrative and clerical support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Support month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare and issue sales invoices, monitor collections, and maintain accurate AR aging reports.
- Process vendor invoices, payment runs, and staffr eimbursement claims in a timely manner.
- Record general ledger entries, ensuring all transactions are properly supported with relevant documentation (e.g., invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, journals).
- Assist in ad-hoc assignments/projects/duties as assigned by superiors.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Accounting, or a relevant discipline or equivalent qualification.
- Able to perform bookkeeping independently.
- Able to process documentation in both English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with English- and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
- Proficient in knowledge of Principles of Accounts (POA).
- Familiar with accounting systems such as AutoCount.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, meticulous, and a team player with the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively at all levels.
- Familiar with Singapore accounting standards, GST regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
