The principal activities of the Company are accounting, bookkeeping, corporate secretarial, corporate restructuring, corporate advisory, merger & acquisition, pre-ipo preparation work, valuation and tax compliance work.

Job Summary

The Accounting Manager leads client accounting engagements and supervises accounting staff to deliver accurate, timely financial reports. This role drives compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements while fostering strong client relationships and enhancing accounting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of client accounts across multiple industries to deliver accurate financial reporting and advisory services
  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements prepared by the team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations to maintain data integrity and accuracy
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff and senior accountants to enhance team performance and ensure quality deliverables
  • Review team members work for accuracy and adherence to technical accounting standards
  • Provide technical guidance on complex accounting issues and best practices to support team development
  • Assist in training and developing junior team members to build accounting expertise within the team
  • Coordinate timely preparation of management reports, financial statements, and supporting schedules to meet client and regulatory deadlines
  • Lead year-end closing processes and support audit engagements to ensure smooth audit completion
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory reporting, and regulatory filings to mitigate risk and uphold firm standards
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, delivering advisory support on financial reporting and accounting processes
  • Communicate proactively with clients to resolve issues and provide effective accounting solutions
  • Implement and enhance accounting systems, internal controls, and workflows to improve operational efficiency
  • Identify and drive opportunities for automation and adoption of accounting software to streamline processes
  • Enforce adherence to firm policies, procedures, and quality standards to maintain service excellence
  • Perform the accounting work if necessary

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or related field
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an accounting or professional services firm
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements
  • Experience supervising accounting teams
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems)
