An Accounting Intern supports the finance department with daily tasks, including data entry, account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting
Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry & Bookkeeping: Perform data entry, maintain accurate financial records, and update accounting files.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing, analyzing, and reviewing financial reports and statements.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, follow up on payments, and manage expense reports.
- Reconciliation & Auditing: Assist with bank reconciliations, internal audits, and compliance checks.
- Administrative Support: Maintain filing systems, research discrepancies, and assist with month-end/year-end closing processes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Skills: Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP.
- Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Integrity: Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
