The Accountant/Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining day-to-day financial reporting and regulatory compliance needs of our business. The person will work closely with the company's cross-country team, while reporting to head of finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate month end closing and prepare monthly reports including monthly financial statements, cash flow statements and management reporting
- Ensure compliance of financial records and controls with corporate statutory, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure overall good maintenance of accounting books
- Assist in cash flow, credit control, and receivables management
- Work collaboratively with various internal parties across the company's global offices to acquire or provide information needed for analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Participate with team in liaising with external auditor, tax agents, and external parties for all statutory and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
- Any ad-hoc tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent Professional Qualification (CA Singapore / ACCA / CPA etc)
- At least 2 years of accounting full set experience with strong working knowledge accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and Oracle Netsuite would be a plus
- Good time management and organisational skills to meet deadlines
- Adaptive, able to multi-task in a startup-esque environment
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills, and good team player
- Passionate and willing to learn and unlearn, to internalise learnings
