Accountant / Senior Accountant Overseas Accounting

Job Description

The successful incumbent will be part of the Overseas Accounting Department in our Finance Division. He/She will be supervising and liaising with SIN Sales Finance team and SIN Business units, the job responsibility includes :-

• Performing review and approval of customers / agents invoices, credit notes and refunds of tickets to passengers/agents.
• Business partner with SIN business units.
• Review and ensure that reconciliation between sales, billings and settlement is complete and discrepancies are duly accounted for.
• Review and ensure adequacy of bank guarantees (BGs) furnished by agents and follow up with key stakeholders. Follow up with business units on outstanding debts, if any.
• Supervise a team of staff within the section, perform periodic review of staff job functions and operational procedures to improve controls and job rotation.
• Work with IT team and Business Technology Finance on system enhancements projects.
• Assist with the month-end financial closing activities, as well as other assignments and projects as assigned from time to time.

• Provide oversight and evaluate if transactions and processes are in compliance with guidelines and standards.
• Provide advice to business units on related finance queries.

Requirements

• Good Degree in Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification (e.g. ACCA)
• At least 2 to 3 years of working experience.
