Job Description

Job Overview

The Senior Accountant is responsible for accounting and overseeing companies in Singapore and regional finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance, and analysis across multiple markets. The role includes being part of the finance team, coordinating month-end and year-end closings, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing actionable insights to support business decisions. The incumbent will be based in Singapore and supporting regional teams, ensuring adherence to statutory regulations, internal controls, and corporate governance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise and guide the Accountant, and Senior Finance Executive, providing coaching, training, and feedback.
  • Act as the main point of contact for finance matters across Singapore andregional entities.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, reviewingfinancial reports, consolidations, and variance analyses.
  • Prepare management presentations and reports for the Senior Finance Manager and Finance Director to support decision-making.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow

  • Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and cash flow for Singapore and regional entities.
  • Track financial performance, identify risks or opportunities, and provide insights for strategic and operational planning.

Compliance & Audit

  • Support GST submissions, MPA audits, and corporate income tax filings, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for interim and year-end audits and maintain internal controls and governance standards.

Transactional Oversight

  • Review and approve staff claims and payment vouchers in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and settlements to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Process Improvement & Collaboration

  • Work with country finance teams to standardize and improve processes, reporting, and internal controls.
  • Support finance system improvements, automation, and regional finance projects to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Will be part of the team involved in system implementation.


Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, preferably with multi-country or regional exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore financial regulations, tax, GST, and audit processes.
  • Solid understanding of accounting standards (IFRS, local GAAP) and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance systems such as Globe 3 or equivalent ERP platforms with knowledge and experience user of SAP4 Hana will be an advantage
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Some audit experience in audit firm will be an advantage.
