Job Summary
Join our company as a dynamic Accountant, balancing office and remote work. You will manage accounts payable, month-end closings, financial reporting, and audits while improving processes and supporting operational efficiency. In this role, we only require you to be in the office for 3 days and you will be able to work from home (WFH) for the remaining 2 days within one week.
Responsibilities
- Perform accounts payable functions to support daily operations and reporting accuracy
- Classify expenses accurately by accounting code and provide clear descriptions in the system
- Prepare monthly accrual listings during month-end closing to ensure completeness
- Deliver accurate and timely month-end and year-end account closings within deadlines
- Prepare management accounts and audited financial statements for internal and external use
- Liaise effectively with auditors to facilitate financial accounting audits
- Prepare payment listings and process payments via cheques, GIRO, telegraphic transfers, or trust receipts
- Prepare and submit quarterly GST declarations in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage petty cash and process expense claim reimbursements efficiently
- Identify and implement improvements to current processes, procedures, and internal controls
- Prioritize tasks and respond promptly according to urgency to maintain workflow
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned to support team operations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in accounts payable and statutory audit processes
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Outlook, and Microsoft Dynamics NAV
- Experience using ABSS accounting software
- Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams
- Demonstrated commitment, responsibility, and ability to work independently
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Willingness to learn and maintain a positive, can-do attitude
