Salt is hiring an Accountant who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about statutory compliance, accounting operations, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing statutory financial reporting across APAC entities, coordinating external audits, supporting tax compliance, overseeing vendor relationships, and driving operational excellence through process transformation initiatives.
This is a contract role based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage statutory financial statement compliance for a portfolio of APAC entities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Coordinate statutory audits and act as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Partner with Tax teams to support corporate income tax and indirect tax compliance.
- Prepare and review tax-related balance sheet reconciliations as part of monthly and quarterly US GAAP close activities.
- Manage relationships with outsourced service providers, ensuring quality delivery and adherence to service level agreements.
- Lead process improvement and transformation initiatives to enhance statutory compliance and accounting operations.
- Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables while coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders.
- Administer vendor contracts, purchase orders, billing processes, and contract lifecycle activities.
- Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Procurement, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of projects and operational objectives.
- Maintain project documentation, provide status updates, and support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA.
- Minimum of 8 years experience in statutory accounting, financial reporting, audit, or finance operations within a multinational corporation or Big Four environment.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
- Experience managing statutory audits, financial reporting, and tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
- Experience with process improvement, finance transformation, or systems implementation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-changing environment.
