Job Summary
The Accountant will focus mainly on financial reporting, month-end closing, and compliance matters for multiple entities. This role supports the Head of Finance and ensures accurate and timely financial information.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management financial reports for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by analyzing financial data to support cash flow monitoring and variance analysis
- Prepare audit schedules and financial statements, coordinating with external auditors to facilitate audit processes
- Compile consolidated unaudited financial statements for the holding company and its overseas subsidiary
- Prepare GST submissions and assist with partnership and corporate tax schedules and other statutory filings to ensure compliance
- Manage company secretarial and regulatory compliance matters to uphold corporate governance standards
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and support group reporting activities to maintain accurate group accounts
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal control policies to maintain financial integrity
- Execute ad hoc finance duties as assigned by management to support operational needs
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of external audit experience is highly preferred to enhance audit and compliance effectiveness
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills to improve financial data management
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to identify financial variances and support decision-making
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
