Accountant

The Accountant focuses mainly on month end closing, financial reporting and analysis, and ensuring alignment with the applicable accounting standards, company policies and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and ensure timely and accurate month end and year end close

• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports and analyses

• Prepare journals and reconciliations in Sage X3 and/or Blackline

• Manage Fixed Assets accounting including capitalization, disposals, preparation of depreciation schedules and ensuring compliance with Fixed Assets policies and guidelines

• Assist with budgeting and cashflow forecast

• Assist with the preparation and submission of statutory accounts

• Review Finance workflows for improvements, to increase efficiency, strengthen internal controls and compliance

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, regulatory requirements and internal policies

• Work closely with the tax agents and local authorities to manage compliance and audit processes

• Liaise and coordinate with external auditors to support audits and ensure timely submission of statutory financial statements and filings

• Any other duties as assigned

Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CIMA)

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Accounting and Finance, preferably in Manufacturing or Logistics

• Comfortable with process optimization/improvements will be advantageous

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability

• Task oriented with a keen eye for detail

• Strong team player and highly adaptable

• Advanced MS Excel skills
