Accountant-Maternity cover 7 months

About the role

This role manages all AR accounting operation matters, including e-commerce activity reconciliations, revenue recognition, general ledger reviews, and month-end closing activities. You will ensure financial reports are accurate and prepared in accordance with local accounting standards and corporate requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage all AR accounting operation matters
• Weekly/monthly reconciliations of eCommerce activity and record-related journal entries, such as reconciliation of payment gateway to online sales report, etc.
• Ensure the revenues recognized in correct accounting period from the sales data on the E-commerce Platform and Marketplace
• Review and reconcile the general ledger, identifying and thoroughly investigating discrepancies and taking appropriate corrective actions to resolve them.
• Update receipts in the Xero system on a daily basis and perform bank reconciliation
• Maintaining of schedules(Money Clearing and Undeposited Fund) and accuracy of data in excels
• Recognizing realized gain/lossaccurately and timely
• Perform month-end closing activities.
• Uploading source data for each payment gateway into portal for other team members usage
• Ensure all financial reports are accurate and prepared in accordance with local accounting standards and corporate requirements in a timely manner.
• Participate in annual audits by external auditors, including preparation of audit schedules, audit queries, and other audit-related tasks as assigned.
• Assist and support the manager with other corporate secretarial and administrative work when required
• Assist with the continuous review and implementation of accounting and financial policies, procedures, and processes.
• Assist in various non-routine assignments, projects, and analytics as needed

Job Requirements:

Degree in Accountancy/Finance/CPA/ACCA/CA or equivalent

Strong working knowledge in SFRS and IFRS, along with sound GST and local tax regulations working knowledge.

3+ years in Accounting, Business Analysis, or Financeprior eCommerce experience is preferred

Strong attention to detail, high degree of accuracy, and persistent.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills must be able to communicate effectively with external partners and Mandarin-speaking associates

Experience working with large volumes of data from multiple sources.

Advanced Excel skills - must be able to organize data,utilize pivot tables, write complex formulas, design reports, and extract data into Excel

Ability to work in fast paced, limited-resource environment and multi-task priorities

Ability to analyse problems and find new and efficient ways to resolve and improve processes/systems
