Key Job Purpose :
To support the CFO and Regional Financial Controller in regional financialcontrolling activities across the AP region, including financial managementreporting, accounting compliance, performance management, and tacticalfinancial planning (budgeting and forecasting). The role also supports IFRS compliance and the implementation of regional finance initiatives and projects.
Summary of Functional Duties & Responsibilities :
1. Regional Reporting & Governance
- Ensure reporting governance for the AP region, including review and validation of BPC, FRP, and ENP submissions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
2. Performance Management
- Assist the Regional Financial Controller in developing relevant performance management KPIs.
- Analyse KPI results and prepare regional performance management reports for management review, highlighting key trends, risks, and improvement areas.
3. Cost & Expense Management
- Develop and maintain a model to track IT and BAM expenses, ensuring alignment with accruals recorded in affiliates books.
- Monitor marketing event expenditures and perform variance analysis against approved budgets.
4. Forecasting & Financial Planning
- Prepare the inventory portion of the monthly forecast package for submission to HQ.
- Support the preparation, review, and consolidation of regional budgets and forecasts for the AP region.
5. Costing & Production Variance
- Prepare standard costs for finished goods and release annual cost estimates.
- Support the SIP system for the costing module.
- Conduct half-yearly reviews of production variances to identify root causes and collaborate with Operations to initiate corrective actions or update standard costs where required.
6. Accounting, Tax & Compliance Support
- Support the Tax Manager by providing data required for management fee calculations.
- Support and review J-SOX requirements and submit relevant documentation and data in a timely manner.
- Assist in ensuring IFRS compliance across the AP region.
7. Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support the implementation of regional finance projects, including process standardisation and system enhancements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, control, and data quality.
8. Ad-hoc Responsibilities
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and tasks assigned by the Regional Financial Controller.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in accountancy or certified accountant from ICPAS or other globally recognized accounting body such as ACCA, ICAEW, CPA Australia
- Minimum 5 to 7 years as management accountant.
- MS Office and SAP ERP, good communicationskills, supervisory skills, project management skills, IFRS, financialperformance management.
