What You'll Do
As an Accountant based in Singapore, you will be entrusted with responsibilities that span across financial reporting, asset management, tax handling, cash flow administration, and stakeholder engagement. Your day-to-day activities will involve serving as the main point of contact for various business units or legal entities-ensuring their needs are met promptly while maintaining high standards of accuracy in all financial transactions. You will prepare detailed financial statements for compliance purposes; manage Fixed Asset processes from additions to disposals; execute General Ledger tasks; resolve any processing errors; oversee cash flow projections; handle complex tax matters; gather data for KPI reporting; review associates financials; administer loans; and manage excess cash placements. Success in this role requires a commitment to operational efficiency, attention to detail in every transaction, proactive communication with stakeholders, and a willingness to support ongoing improvement initiatives within Corporate and Business Finance. Your ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments will ensure seamless service delivery while contributing positively to the overall performance of the Finance team.
- Serve as the primary contact point for businesses or legal entities, efficiently managing stakeholder requests to foster smooth collaboration and dependable service provision.
- Perform Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Closing & Reporting activities including monthly reporting, rolling forecasts, and annual budgeting to achieve performance objectives.
- Prepare half-year and year-end financial statements for loan compliance purposes with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ensure correct and timely Fixed Asset bookkeeping such as additions, transfers, depreciation, processing of impairments, and disposals to maintain accurate records.
- Execute precise General Ledger bookkeeping as well as Closing and both external and internal Reporting activities according to timelines set by Group Finance departments.
- Conduct ongoing and period-end General Ledger postings while investigating processing errors in your area of responsibility and driving resolution with sensitivity.
- Manage cash flow activities including placement of fixed deposits with Finance teams as well as preparing cash flow projections to support business operations.
- Handle Tax activities such as GST, property tax, income tax documentation, acting as the key contact with tax agents on complex queries and performing technical accounting assessments.
- Support data gathering, preparation, and reporting of KPIs within Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Closing, and external Reporting functions.
- Assist in reviewing associate's financials and support administration of loans under Singapore operating entities including actuals and projections for loan drawdown, principal & interest repayment.
- Aid in administering excess cash for Singapore operating entities including actuals and projections for fixed deposit placement & rollover.

Your familiarity with SAP systems will enable you to navigate complex financial processes efficiently while maintaining accuracy throughout all transactions. - Degree in Accountancy from a reputable University demonstrating strong academic foundation in finance principles.
- Minimum 6 years of commercial experience with at least 2 years spent in audit roles showcasing proven expertise in both industry practice and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with SAP systems enabling efficient navigation of enterprise resource planning tools for accurate record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills allowing you to interact considerately with stakeholders across different levels of the organisation.
- Strong interpersonal abilities fostering positive relationships within the team and with external partners such as tax agents.
- Ability to manage complex finance matters including IRAS tax queries and technical accounting assessments with empathy and professionalism.
- Experience preparing financial statements for loan compliance purposes reflecting thorough understanding of statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in Fixed Asset bookkeeping covering additions, transfers, depreciation, impairments, disposals ensuring reliable asset management.
- Competence in General Ledger bookkeeping including closing activities aligned with group finance timelines promoting operational dependability.
- Capability to support data gathering for KPI reporting within FA, GL, Closing & external Reporting functions enhancing performance management.
