Accountant

We are partnering with a leading global commodities trading house to hire an AP Accountant for its Singapore office.

The role sits in the payables function and rewards someone who likes making processes faster. You will keep payments accurate and on schedule, and you will look for ways to let technology take over the repetitive parts of the job.

What You'll Be Doing

• Processing supplier invoices and getting payments out on time and accurately
• Working with internal teams and banks to confirm payments and clear queries
• Finding manual, repeatable tasks in finance workflows and building simple tools or scripts to automate them
• Covering for colleagues when needed so the team never misses a deadline
• Helping with regulatory and statutory submissions
• Joining process improvement, system and other finance projects as they come up

What We're Looking For

• Diploma or degree in accounting, finance or a related field
• Exposure to accounts payable in a busy or high-volume setting
• Experience with an ERP system, ideally SAP
• Solid Excel skills, plus some scripting ability (Python or VBA) and real interest in growing it
• Detail-focused, dependable and comfortable working with numbers under deadlines
• Curious, proactive and happy to work independently or in a team
